Our church began as Halifax Christian Community Church, a gathering of believers with a heart to worship God and serve our community. What started as a small group of faithful people quickly grew into a welcoming home for many, where lives were changed, relationships were built, and the love of Christ was shared. Those early years laid the foundation for a church that valued authentic faith, community, and a commitment to reaching people right where they are.
Almost 20 years ago, God led us into a new season and a new name: The Journey. The name reflects not only our story as a church, but also the walk of faith each of us is on with Christ. Since then, The Journey has continued to thrive as a place where people can grow, serve, and experience the transforming power of Jesus. Looking back with gratitude and forward with expectation, we remain committed to being a church that walks alongside people on every step of life’s journey.
